It is located halfway between Como and Menaggio. Argegno was once only the gateway to Val d’Intelvi, while today it has discovered a real vocation for tourism; not only because of its location, since it is only 12 km from the Lakes motorway, but also and above all because of the majestic panorama it offers, where the eye sweeps from the Balbianello peninsula to that of Bellagio, from Legnone to Grigna. The town is characterised by a lively historic centre where numerous wine bars and restaurants open up in its ‘piazzetta’, providing a cheerful holiday atmosphere in summer, a safe haven and meeting point for residents of other towns as well.
