TREMEZZINA
Tremezzina is a municipality formed in 1928 through the merger of the municipalities of Lenno, Mezzegra, and Tremezzo. After separating over the years, it was reunited in 2014 with the addition of the municipality of Ossuccio. Today, these four towns form the municipality of Tremezzina. An area rich in points of interest, it is particularly popular with foreign tourists, who come here from all over the world to visit its attractions, including: Villa Carlotta, Villa del Balbianello, and the Sacro Monte di Ossuccio, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003. Opposite the town of Ossuccio lies Isola Comacina, the only island on Lake Como.
