Madesimo
Madesimo is a ski resort located near the border with Switzerland in the extreme northern tip of Italy. The area with its 50 km of slopes also reaches Campodolcino, Motta and Val di Lei. In recent years there has been a real revolution with several new facilities which demonstrate the desire to relaunch the ski resort with great commitment. 4 covered four-seater chairlifts with automatic coupling, two six-seater chairlifts, an eight-seater cable car and the first underground funicular in Italy. A cable car and several other chairlifts complete the facilities, which are still the subject of major modernization projects. The slopes for alpine skiing in Val di Lei and those that descend from Colmenetta are very spectacular, while for the more experienced we recommend the Canalone slope, well known for its its beauty and its difficulty. For those for whom the day is not enough, Skiarea Valchiavenna also offers the possibility of skiing at night on Saturday evenings and Wednesday evenings thanks to the evening opening of the Larici cable car with the possibility of having dinner upon arrival of the lift itself at the Larici Refuge.
