Argegno

Argegno is located halfway between Como and Menaggio. At one time it was only the access point to Val d’Intelvi. A historic centre with bars and restaurants characterise this village. The lakefront is well served. The ancient medieval village is crossed by the mouth of the river Telo, known as Telo d’Argento. It divides Argegno into two parts connected by an ancient stone bridge. At one time, the village was part of the defensive system that served to hinder the passage of invaders, but its origin is clearly Roman.

The ancient stone houses, built leaning against each other straddling the Telo, make the village of Argegno very picturesque.
