Menaggio

Menaggio is characterized by a large pedestrian area and a suggestive lakefront. The large hotels, the Victoria (which is currently being renovated into a luxury hotel with an internal wellness center that will be open to the public all year round) and the Menaggio, are becoming the preferred destination for foreigners, especially the British who found the famous golf here club. From the 1950s to today, Menaggio has attracted thousands of Milanese, Germans, English, Dutch and French people, many of whom have decided to buy and build their second homes, especially in the hamlets of Castello, Sonenga, Pastura and Casate. Among the hamlets, sunny Loveno, Nobiallo, home to a well-equipped marina, and Croce, once frequented only as an access point to golf, have become prestigious areas where there are many houses for sale.
